CBC Arts: Database of B.C. native art planned:
VANCOUVER, B,C. - The Bill Reid Foundation is teaming up with Simon Fraser University to establish an online database of B.C. native art.

The as-yet-unnamed library, which would contain thousands of images, would be based at the university's campus in downtown Vancouver, but would be available to artists around the world.

George MacDonald, the president of the Bill Reid Foundation, said the centre would also serve as a library for traditional reference material, and would provide a meeting place for students and scholars of northwest native art.
