The Englishman's Boy: the movie
Here's a story on an upcoming CBC mini-series based on the novel by Guy Vanderhaeghe.
What do you think about books being turned into movies? Do you enjoy seeing something you've read turned into a film or would you rather not see someone else's visual interpretation of a book into which you've invested a lot of your own imagination?
In this case, Vanderhaeghe adapted the novel for the screen, so at least we can be assured that the final product is in line with how the author envisions how his book should translate to the screen.
