Hi, why not give commenting a try right here? What do you think of blogging so far? Have you been to any other blogs before? If so, what's your favourite blog? If you've never been to a blog before, do a google search for "whatever your favorite topic is" +blog There may well be a blog (or many!) connected to things that you're interested in.

Hello,
Wast just looking for some literary books, and i ran across your site. Out of Curiosity, what is this course about, is it just for first year students?
I was taught literrary theory in highschool, and we had to really go in depth with the Ondaatje stuff, so im curiuos what you are covering in your course, i might be interested, i've been to an Ondaatje Poetry reading-just wonderful.
I am student from the University of Toronto, thanks for your time.

The blog set up has been really helpful over the past month, as far as catching up on assignments and in preparing for the final. Seeing how the final is in three hours, you could say this is a little late, but i thought i'd get my say in. It is pretty useful!

Great to see so many comments of late. I'll be doing more on blogging in the coming months and, if I can find a bit of time, will post some more on our blog about some of the potentials I see for using blogs in the classroom. As we get to the end of the course, I'll likely ask you for some more feedback about blogging.

I do like the idea of having a class blog- especially because it's so user-friendly. This is the first blog I have ever experienced. It seems like a great way to stay informed about the course and share ideas.

I really like the blog set up as well. It’s much easier to navigate than WebCT. Thank you Prof. Martin for giving us the day off yesterday. I hope you all got a chance to get out and vote, even though it wasn’t the nicest day!

Hey Prof. Martin/classmates,
I appreciate the fact that we had yesterday off so we vote,
but, damn, I wish the outcome had been different...

I really like the blog set up, it is definetly nicer that webct and much easier to use. I agree that more teachers should use a blog instead of webct.

I really enjoy the set up of the blog. It is much easier to navigate than webct and much less restrictive as well. I am looking forward to using it for the semester.

I like having a blog set up for a class. It's a more relaxed feel than WebCT, and is organized in a way that is easy to navigate. The only other blog I've used is for my job at the CTL here on campus, which I didn't like at first because of the lack of organization, but this one makes more sense, and I think it will be a great way for you (Paul) to post readings instead of printing out and copying tons of papers.

I like it. It's nice to have a website, webct or blog for classes.

I'll try to add a list of all the articles we've studied a bit later tonight. I teach until 6:00 and will be back online by about 9.

im not sure how to do this but i was wondering if anyone could help me (and maybe others) with this midterm studying by maybe coming up with a list of terms (definitions not imperative) that we will probably need to know for the exam. (i.e. banking education?) if anyone even has one just add it to this website blog thing...Paul...this goes out to you too if you feel so inclined to do so...anyway..yeah...not sure if i just did this right but hey...not harm tryin'

I'm not sure how I feel about blogging. This is my first time I have ever used a blog so I am still exploring. But so far, I think that it very informative and will keep students on top of doing their work, hopefully.

I really like blogs. They are more informative and interesting than WebCT. I have a blog, and so do many of my friends. It's a good way to keep in touch, and I think more professors should set up blogs for their classes.
